In 2022 she was awarded a pro bono award by the Louisiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association for her free legal work in the community. She is currently working alongside the 22nd Judicial District Court through her nonprofit Be Fierce and Kind to implement a landmark therapy dog program in the Child In Need of Care, Juvenile Delinquency, and Mental Health courts.
